Wish List
As the ministry work here continues to grow we have more and more needs. When we first began Mercy Ministries in 2017 we couldn’t image being able to ship things from America to us, but as the years have passed and we’ve learned more and more and have found a couple of reasonable shipping options. We constantly have a hard time finding certain things that we need or finding items that can stand up to our busy lifestyle with so many children. A few years ago we created a wish list, shared it, and had visitors bring items purchased from that list. It was a such a huge blessing to us that we try and do that anytime we have visitors coming. Now that we have ocean shipping options available it opens up what can be added to our wish list. Below I will link a few different ongoing lists that we have.
As you are looking through these list if you see something that you already have (or want to purchase it from somewhere else) that you’d like to donate please let us know and we will remove it from the list. Most of these items do not have to be new, used items are as much of a blessing as brand new ones. If you’d like to purchase something from our lists, but can’t decide which item, gift cards work as well, plus we are able to get items tax free when we purchase them.
Special note: If you want to get donation credit for any items purchased, please email us a copy of your receipt to info@afm.ngo along with your name and phone# and we will create you a tax deductible receipt for that amount.
Library Wishes
This is an ongoing list of books we’d like to have or that are necessary reading for our classical Christian curriculum. Currently we have three small library areas, but we would love to add a real library for each school campus, plus maintain the three small library areas we have already created. Please feel free to send your favorite book(s) with us as this isn’t an exhaustive list. We would love for you to share your love of reading with our kids and write a note in any books you donate if you wish. Hardback books last the longest here, but our main goal is to get books and build libraries, so send whatever you have or are able to get. We will never have too many books, we will just build more shelves!
Games and Upgrades
This is a fairly large list of games and maintenance items. We would like for the games to be hung up and stored in the dining hall so that the kids will have access to them during their free time, giving them other options than just the playground. The maintenance items we can’t find here or the quality or price is so much better that it is worth it to ship it over. We feel like adding these items will help our campus run in a more efficient way. While our campus is used like a commercial facility it does not have all the commercial “fittings”. Having commercial grade products would greatly reduce maintenance issues for us and we need all the help we can get in having more time.
MCH and MCA Wishes
This is a list of needs and wants. We are learning that running a school means never ending needs. We have a hard time finding hands on activities in country and we often feel like our classes are lacking that fun element. You will also find things for our home here. Generally this list will get updated the most just before we have visitors coming. These items are usually smaller and easy to pack in luggage.
